 Gran Hotel España has been in the Camacho family since 1959. One of the very first hotels ever to be built in the beautiful resort town of Punta del Este in 1911 and modernised in 1980, the hotel has gone from strength to strength and is now one of Punta's most reliable and successful hotels. |

Situated in the heart of the peninsula, the hotel is within minutes of numerous sandy beaches, including "Playa de Los Ingleses" and "Playa Emir". And we’re only a five-minute stroll away from Avenida Gorlero, the town's main shopping street and nightlife center. Behind the hotel is the tranquil residential area of "El Faro", which as the name suggests harbours the original lighthouse built in 1860. |
Our rooms feature en suite bathrooms, air conditioning for those hot summer days, central heating for guests visiting us in winter, a well-stocked minibar to cool you down after a long day at the beach, 24-hour room service, colour TV and direct dial phones. The hotel also has its own restaurant, "Mesón del Buen Jerez", where you can sample excellent food at modest prices, served by a friendly staff. Specialities include fresh seafood, prime choice steaks and homemade pasta. |

Our guides will show you the sights of Punta del Este, Punta Ballena and Maldonado, as well as neighbouring towns Piriápolis and José Ignacio.
